Our mission is to provide advanced diagnostic imaging to more patients by making these procedures available at the primary care veterinary hospital, to enhance the ongoing care being provided by the patients veterinarian.

    • Therapeutic recommendations
    • One telephone follow-up
    • Electrocardiography and Holter monitoring

Fees

The primary care hospital will establish the fees charged to their clients. The charges of North Texas Mobile Veterinary Diagnostics will be the responsibility of the primary care hospital and will be due when services are completed. Fees are payable by cash, check or all major credit cards.

Scheduling

Procedures can be scheduled by calling 817-431-8999 from 8:00am to 5: 00pm, Monday through Friday. Emergency service will be provided as scheduling allows. Food should be withheld from the patient 12 hours prior to the procedure. Please call as soon as possible if the procedure needs to be cancelled.

About Dr. Gary Thayer

Dr. Thayer received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota in 1974. He completed his residency in Veterinary Internal Medicine and a Master’s Degree at Michigan State University in 1977. He became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1979.He has had a varied career to include a faculty position at the University of Georgia, Chief of Internal Medicine of the Military Working Dog Veterinary Service and an Internal Medicine consultant for Idexx Laboratories. In 1986 he founded the Veterinary Internal Medicine Clinic which has served the greater Tarrant county area for 22 years. A significant part of this practice included performing and interpreting abdominal ultrasound examinations and Doppler echocardiography. He has authored scientific articles and has been a speaker at local and regional veterinary conferences. In 1995, Dr. Thayer received the Clinical Referral and Consultation Award from the Texas Academy of Veterinary Practice.
